It's a great thing these days that an enterprising 14 year-old has a marketable talent that could potentially support a family. Hmm, maybe CAT of doom can support me and his mom for the next few years. I'll have to check the California child labor laws.

Been taking a metal shaping class, and so far it's been pretty cool. Here's a few pics (ok, more than a few!) of a project I'm working on.
It's a teardrop shape, with a flange along the bottom edges, made from a flat sheet of 0.0040" 3003-h4 Aluminum (I think). This was all shaped by hand, with hammers and a shotbag, the old-school way, then I used the english wheel at the end, but only with a very light pressure to smooth out my hammer marks. Then I used the english wheel again to lightly stretch and "tip" the edges to create the flange. The cardboard "skeleton" you see on the table is a template I used to get the shape correct. Though the english wheel wasn't necessary, it's a quick (and fun!) way to smooth things out, even if its not being used to stretch the metal. Next, I will file and sand this, and it will be finished with a "brushed aluminum" look.

Ok, I told Kestrel I would put up some lotus seven pics. I'm about to start working on a nose for one, will be making it with hammers, dollies, and the english wheel. This summer I would like to start work on a tubular style frame for one of these.
Here's some pics of Lotus Sevens and some variations... 
And here's a really cool rear end I'd like to copy...

Hey guys, I know it's been awhile since I posted on here. Been busy with work and such. I believe it is time for me to retire completely. I'm rarely on here, and I never fly anymore do to work, family and side projects. So I will say good bye my friends.

Well as yall know I have been flying some what. Knocking some of the rust off my planes with the help of some local Ghost hunting parties.
 I must say the lag is still terrible! So I guess now it is time for some recruiting. This will be fun!

One year Brain and Becca went to the Disney, and Brian said,
‘Becca, You know I’m 83 years old. If I don’t ride that helicopter, I might never get another chance’ To this, Becca replied, “Brian you know that helicopter ride is fifty bucks, and fifty bucks is fifty bucks’ The pilot overheard the couple and said, ‘Folks I’ll make you a deal. I’ll take the both of you for a ride. If you can stay quiet for the entire ride and don’t say a word I won’t charge you a penny! But if you say one word it’s fifty dollars.’ Brian and Becca agreed and up they went. The pilot did all kinds of fancy manoeuvres, but not a word was heard. He did his daredevil tricks over and over again, but still not a word… When they landed, the pilot turned to Brian and said, ‘Did You know, I did everything I could to get you to yell out, but you didn’t. I’m impressed!’ Brian replied, ‘Well, to tell you the truth, I almost said something when Becca fell out, but you know, Fifty bucks is fifty bucks!’
