On this new year 2020 Puerto Rico commemorates the half-century of one of the most famous Christmas songs around the planet. In the last 20 centuries, hundreds of thousands and thousands of songs inspired by Christmas have been written on all continents of the globe but writing one that is among the most popular of all time, is really admirable and a Puerto Rican did it. "Feliz Navidad" , written in 1970 by the mega-Star Boricua José Feliciano (he was 25 years old) is recognized by the American society of composers, authors and editors as one of the 25 Christmas songs of All times that is most sung on the planet. A simple verse in 2 of the 3 most important languages in the world (choir in Spanish and verse in English) with a very simple, simple, cheerful, universal rhythm was the key to its immediate and eternal success. The song is known and sung in all countries of the planet; in Russia, Japan, South Africa, Norway or Canada. In the U.S. It's almost a Christmas Anthem, it's heard everywhere (and they sing it a lot). Since its creation in 1970, repeating year after year, "Feliz Navidad" appears in billboard magazine as one of the 10 most famous and requested Christmas Songs.... in 2019 for 49 consecutive years! Billboard says referring to our José Feliciano: "December is a very busy month for the man who taught the world to say Merry Christmas in Spanish".................... forgive the showcasing! thanks Jessica that's no effect I shot it that way I was doing a little bit of night photography last night it a very spooky vibe to it to bad it's not Halloween anymore
Jessica I can imagine a terrifying scene for a movie taking place here To bad there is not a in mistletoe hanging on the gazebo because this a good Christmas card too
