I was going to write about that match today, but you beat me to it. Oh well!
At least I managed to make 105 kills in the Nieuport 11. That plane is too OP.
Congratulations to all the others who got tons of kills ( basically everyone )

Well, what a great Sunday today, some important achievements have been earned! First, we have finally earned 4M points at the squad ranking , and we're close to 15th position.



But second, and most important, our top ace Sikorsky finally got his first 10K kills, and with less than 8000 deaths!!! We are all extremely impressed with your work, IL2 ace .

Well, Juan said we were close to the 15th position... It seems we weren't so close lol. Anyway, we finally reached it today! Thanks for your efforts (and for the meeting at Dragon Mountain today lol).

Hello there! Haven't posted here in a while, but today we had an epic match where I beat my kill record IN A SPAD! These noob planes are way to good lol

A brief summary of what happened in the match -
We discussed about vehicles
Then switched to talking about our squad history
A lot of jokes and stuff
People started leaving at the end, and I was close to breaking my kill record
Our team kept dropping the flag and we couldn't move it a few feet
And then I set my new kill record
Game ended in a draw
.

Again congratulations to those who got many kills too

Do you know what happened this day a year ago?

THE SPAD SQUAD WAS FOUNDED!

Congratulations to all Spads, you helped me to make this a great squadron! I want to thank as well the bigger squadrons who supported us by advising, or just by posting here; and some friends I made in-game. If I'm serious, I thought this wasn't going to be a big squad, and that we would need ages to make it up to the ranking. But in this year:

-We created an official squadron thread.

-We earned nearly 6M squadron points somehow, and climbed from zero to 14th position in the squad ranking.



-One of our current members (and ex-young gun) reached the top players ranking (it's Sik in case you don't know lol).



-We finally joined the defence the skies of the Mixed Server from the jets.

-We started recording jet kills for a future montage.

-We created a Discord server with 5 members (one of them has been inactive for months lol).

-We recruited lots of young guns, and some of them even reached the ranking (while not being in the squad).

Now, you guys should know where and how to celebrate this properly hehe . BTW, sorry Fordy. I can't reply you in the squad chat, so I'll do it here . I didn't change the squadron name, I just changed the tag and the description (which is as long as it can be, as usual hehe) to celebrate our first year dancing in the skies.

It’s officially our squadron’s 1st birthday! On behalf of the squadron, I congratulate all of you who helped us do this.

Hey guys! I've just enjoyed some matches with Juan using the new update (1.1.58). Now, instead of the Tatooine style we had in the glitchy 1.1.55...

we have proper dynamic weather ! I have to tell you it looks AWESOME, especially during sunsets. Night hunting is sooooooooo hard , because you can barely see anything, especially if the enemy aircraft is black (Juan, it's time to sell our shiny Tripes lol).



By the way, GG those who played that epic flag match (coyote, Vanessa, andros, ozymandias, CherryTree, KamikazeToaster, Geth...). Always nice to fly with you .
Rain is very cool as well (and the Pfalzsquito bomber hunter lol).

Aaaand it seems that the weather info depends on the room and its countdown, not on your device, so if you quit and re-enter a night match, it will keep being nighttime (same applies if you enter in the middle of it), so it won't be unfair anymore (or at least that's what I understood...).
I still have no clouds in multiplayer (but I do in training), and I just don't care! Quite nice landscapes even without them!


Besides, trees don't look 2D anymore! They are now 3D permanently (or at least they are always facing at you), unlike before (of course this shot is from the old version, when I had clouds and bamboo instead of trees):

Some may ask, how am I supposed to run this on my 1975 phone? It will lag a ton! Well, the answer is not! You won't suffer any lag! The game runs the same, maybe even a bit faster. Sik, I hope you can finally solve your login problems ... You really have to see this.

Since we've seen some squad members doing compulsive spawnkilling and the like (and that I don't want to have... uh... let's call it "unfair playing styles" in our group), the "Discord Committee" (that name looks so professional lol) has decided to turn some ethics into rules. Go to the first post and read them again... but don't worry, they are shared with most squadrons. It's just that we don't want this squad to become a refuge for people who would deserve to appear in a blacklist. I think no one would like to kill a spawnkiller wearing the SPAD| tag...

Yeah, you guessed it! It's $"the warrior"#1. I know he's got nothing to do with the squad, and I know what I said in the previous post, but... I still had to say it ;[).

I know this may not be the cleanest way of playing, but come on! I always cry with laughter when he's in my matches. Let's hope it's a short one lol.

Poor Paco... He got kicked and banned for 5 minutes at the end of the game because of killing some friendlies by accident lol. 

Fun game guys! Everyone fighting hard and enjoying some friendly chat. Too bad Paco got kicked but I am sure the result would have been the same.

Spad Squad has a lot to be proud of.

Yes I got kicked because of teamkilling... It was nighttime and I hit many friendlies (especially their laggy dead planes). I earned only 2.000 points by killing 60 planes, so imagine how many of them I lost. Hopefully this won't have any consequences on the future...

I want to apologize especially to Stormbringer: sorry mate I think I killed you thrice. And the third one (the one that got me banned) was lots of bad luck. We were defending our flag so I decided to drop my bombs. By coincidence, Storm was flying below me, and he ate my bombs. Then a message appeared: "Paco Zorapel is a traitor. Banned for 5 minutes", and I lost connection 10 seconds after that. There were only 4 minutes remaining to end that epic match, so it was very frustrating. 

At least the ban lasted only for 5 minutes. Oof.

BTW, congratulations on your new record Juan. You overtook me (mine is 89 in the Mad Turenne Nieuport lol).

I've just played a good match today, where I achieved my new record! 95 kills achieved with the Fokker E.III (the first 30) and the Fokker D.VII (the rest). Yes Juan that's one more than your record  . GG Pippe, Vanessa, Juan, Jag, Fred, coyote, Dunc, Colepilot...

Some say there's an incoming new update that fixes the problem with the name sizes... I will try it.
[EDIT] Ok we downloaded the update, and guess what?  Xiaomi support and water drops have been fixed (the names are still showed in different sizes). Juan can use tilt now (he won't do it since he's accostumed to screen joystick) and his soldier and tank. Thanks a lot zup.

Oh, I heard in the new update zup changed the Nieuport 11 model a lot.
Edit :- well, it is different. Now all paints have a weird grey cowling and a strange windshield, looks ugly doesn’t it?

And the gun position didn’t change a lot in terms of aim point. I’m still not too sure, but where you need to aim seems to be the same.
