Instead of completely dynamic clouds, we now have a natural looking sky backdrop with low dynamic clouds superimposed on it. Then what are the gripes?

I haven't tried with all the different planes, but with some planes the hangars are just wide enough if I manouver very carefully, and with other planes they are just too narrow!

Why not let it start in a tunnel and end in another one? The tunnels could be just that: tunnels into the moutains, empty holes, or they could lead to caves or halls, unbombable sanctuaries with repair or refuelling services.

They are all the same size, and they are distributed a little too evenly - as if they all had been planted the same year by a drunk forester.

How about instead of griping, you be thanksful for what Joaquin has done? You have to keep in mind -- this is a mobile game. I'd rather have play ability, high frame rates and gameplay over having a few pine trees varying in height. He has to make this game accessible to most mobile platforms -- which means he has to keep in mind that some platforms just don't have the RAM and flash memory as others.

my lg optimus v with virgin mobile cant run the game at all, its too slow and laggy. i hate it when people lag, and dont want to do it myself, plus, it goes at roughly 4 fps. so yeah, when verizon decides it wants to give me free service and phones, add all that stuff.

and i agree with you, that we should be grateful for what z has done with the game, but a lot of what he's done is because of requests here. I don't like it when people say that stuff like ultra realism is important just because i don't pay any attention to it, while i'm looking forward to the bridge and the trees, its more because droid users have seen them for months. :/ But, anyway, i'd rather have a game that runs well and is fun to play. if you want realism, theres flight sims for that you can get for a computer. play this for a game, not historical accuracy.

I'm happy with the game the way it is, as I'm sure everyone else is. . That doesn't mean one cannot talk about the little peculiarities of Dogfight and allow a joke or two.

What impressed me most when I first saw the game were two things: that it was really possible to run a worldwide, multiplayer, real-time flight simulator game on mobile phones and make it seem so real, and then there was the landscape. It had a mossy, grassy, stony quality to it, so like the mountains of Scotland or central Norway that it made me half expect to see a flight of mountain grouse alight from the hillside.

I'll make an action shot later with another DF pilot doing the bombing. It is impressive when the large sections break off and fall down.

You'll want to know about this:

Z has posted a message in the Spanish section with a link to the Spanish version of the web magazine ANDROIDPIT where there is a very interesting one-page interview with him.

If you don't understand Spanish, you can use one of the free translation services like babelfish.yahoo.com or translate.google.com to get a general idea of what he says in the interview. You may have to feed it into the programs a few lines at a time, because the free programs have limits to the amount of text they accept. If you have to do it the hard way, you won't regret it. It's going to be worth the trouble. :-)

I don't know if the interview has appeared yet in the English version of the magazine, probably not. - I didn't find it at any rate.

Lol veidar once I was being chased by a tank and I decided to run across the bridge for safety. The tank followed

. Anyway right when the tank had a perfect shot and was about to press fire.... I. Can't believe at tight speed one of my allies flew over the bridge and said "ill save u! The ally plane dropped a bomb right in front of my soldier, breaking the bridge. I stopped in time, but the doomed tank was going too fast to stop and fell in water.hahahaha for the tank it died :lol:

Yesterday I was in a tight dogfight with an admiral and two others. Just by accident I hit one of the planes who passed right below me as I dropped the bomb. I would never, never have been able to do that on purpose!
