My question is based on, when i joined this merry band of flyers, i joined the first squadron, who invited me,
However, i know realise that the one im in, do not converse much, and are based on the other side of the world from here
I must be due some leave soon, and would like to join a squad, nearer to home

I'm in WOLF.PACK and you'll find a few of us in the air and chatting in squad chat. Our leader Viper is great at giving advice and we have a couple that play that are from the UK.

It takes time to learn the personalities of squadrons and the first one I joined was as you described didn't converse or chat much. There are some great squads here--some older than others, different rules and some more serious than others. Take your time no rush deciding which to join--just have fun and fly. Hope that helps!

First... You probably not going to find a squad that suits you directly... Many players jumped around to find out what's the best squad to join.

#1 rule is do not get too impressed of a squads first impression. #2 don't let them sweet-talk to join their squad... Then you already a candidate to be brain washed directly. There's squads that like that kind of stuff... telling you how to act on forum and how you should play like you are a dumbass or who you gonna hate just to prove you are a true adept and really wanna be a core member.. They're trying to lead and educate you as a new comber and make you somekind of subordinate before you got your full membership... Right there's some weird ppl out there for sure

MOM or Mean old Men, not there to guide you on a personal level and we always fight those who think they are so great and righteous...
We in MOM know that's just a charade and doublestandard hypocrites and cant stand those ppl.

So if you wanna stay on distance from hypocrites just yrw to join us... If not, it's not a big deal.

Have to add this...many respected players not necessarily join a squad. They just stay aside of politics and focus on the game..

Be aware that squad membership not compulsory.
You could adopt the lonely life of a deadly assassin.
Maybe I should start an elite group called "The Assassinators"
No allegiance, just side with whoever offers the most chocolate.

I’ll give a hint- 99% of players here are either Spanish or from North and South America ( I’m the 1% from other part of the world ). Try to find a squadron based in Spain. But remember, their time is an hour ahead of yours Steve.

Well, I don’t really know how many are Spaniards here. It’s just a guesstimate.
What do I mean by this? If you are a developer from country x and live there, it makes sense to release your games in country x first. That means most players will be from country x, then as it picks up popularity other players from other countries will start playing it, right? There is a slight chance it won’t be the case but this the case that happens mostly
