I know there is an instructional thread at the top of this page,
But my gun sight must be lined up on the next doors washing line, as ive NEVER (killed) but have hit someone coming straight at me
Please, what am i doing wrong. as ive been playing flying games for YEARS, and never had such a silly issue yet!

Also, why is every landing a semi controlled crash ?

Steve

Yeah, a "how to" thread would be a positive contribution to the forum.
Maybe a heading "Techniques and Tactics" ?
This would be a good topic for a skilled player or two to initiate.
Who's prepared to give away their secrets for the good of the game?
I remember there were threads like this in the past, but it would need to be done relevant to the current game environment.

Hey Steve! Yeah, some the game features aren't well explained and you'll have to learn them by yourself . Luckily, at this forum most of the users will be glad to help you.

The bullet drop is one of the hardest things to learn here. It takes ages to discover the exact point to aim. Here you have a tutorial that I've posted a short time before at WOLF.PACK's official thread: www.dogfightelite.com/index.php/forum/sq...ge?start=1590#381020

I highly recommend to max it up at all your planes. It will help you a lot to bring down reds.

The fact why every landing is a controlled crash is unknown for me. Maybe the game has different physics flying and on the land, and the change between them causes that jump. Don't get nervous, it happens to everyone, and with some experience you will control better your landings.

Or you can take advantage of that and make extreme landings like this one ;):

I hope this helped you! :)

I agree, bullet drop is a hard topic to wrap your head around, and so are many dogfighting tactics. I learnt all of this the hard way. Thought it’d be nice to have a thread for asking questions and keeping them organized.
And for landings I also don’t understand why they are controlled crashes. It’s like trying to butter the bread but you stab the bread instead.

I'm no expert, but I found landing with the external view of the plane helps. It gave more feed back information to know when to juggle the throttle and angles. I could then do it more automatically with the inside view
