Let us take a moment to remember the fateful events of 11 years ago. Here's a little poem I wrote for today:

From the dirt into the sky
deadly needles take to fly.
For the Twins these needles send
to bring them to an early end.

Through brilliant blaze and blinding heat
heavens collapse beneath your feet.
Foundations once strong forced to fail
starting a story from an ending tale.

From fallen dreams we build anew
and the lights of hope still shine true.
Remember the cries that couldn't be found.
So Freedom can be built back from the ground.

Very nice Luna. I was changing an aileron control cable on a Dash-8 100 that day. I was 12 hrs into a 10 hr shift with my radio on when the first plane hit. At first it was reported a small plane hit the tower. I yelled to some of the guys on the hangar floor and had them come listen to the radio. We were joking at first. How'd a cessna 150 hit the tower as the report stated small plane. Then we started hearing from our pilots and the report changed to airliner hit the tower.
My fellow mechanics raided the offices and gathered a couple of TV's in the hangar and we were glued. The last scene of the Second plane sent chill's down everyone's backs. We felt helpless as we watched the second plane hit. I'll never forget the emotion. Tears, anger we were all bewildered, at a loss as to what to do, was eery silent for a bit, some just staring.
It hit us very hard being part of the aviation community.
The hardest thing was the helpless feeling....I'll never forget that day in that hangar.

My uncle died On tower 1 94th floor (from what we know of his vacation)

What about mine and sorry sput.Remember people that died and the Boeings that died.I know the WTC is sad but what about the Pentagon attack and the 1 that was going for the White House but it crashed before it go there.Poor people and i think the planes were 767s.

At my store, we hired Irish girls to work for the summer.
They were going to New York City. "What should we see?"
Go to the top of the Twin Towers.

Yea i rather not talk about this either, my dads best friend passed away. He was a cop though and he passed away trying to save people in the tower.

Has anyone heard what's happened to the US Embassy in Libya? It was attacked by extremists, we believe Al Qaeda. Four Americans were killed, and I believe we're sending troops in now.

My dad works in covert operations. He's been gone for a couple weeks.

Their presence is probably a secret. I'm not 100% certain, but if I am, just keep it quiet.
