Anyone have tales of Dogfight Combat Injuries or Destruction? I will Purple Hearts.

I found out today I have Rotator Cuff Syndrome and after working myself up to about #125 in the ranking, flying with my iPad probably contributed to the injury and the unique presentation of bicep involvement, as well.

So, you old guys, any neck, shoulder, elbow or wrist pains since starting Dogfight?

I will award Purple Hearts for injuries sustained in combat.

On the personal Destruction side, I've never dropped the iPad in the toilet. I did sweep some water glasses off a counter while chasing Reid in a dogfight when I was a Group Captain. Wifey was not amused.

So, as of today, I have to switch to joystick mode and I keep crashing in the Practice Missions. Any of you aces use joystick?

Sry to hear that seattle, lossing a good pilot. I used to use the joystick untill I became a air commander. Its hard, and chasing is impossible to win, even against noobs, keep sensitivity to max. Man I just remembered how good u were as a group capt, wasnt there something wrong with ur points, thats why u never leveled up.

My thumbs hurt from holding my Kindle Fire.

My shoulders were burning tonight while I was holding my KF nearly over my head during a 7-minute dogfight with Capt Montebon.

Then, when I ran out of ammo in the skies over the east carrier, I flew like mad back to the Allied base, with an enemy fighter on my six the entire way. I did barrel rolls the entire time. Never got hit. When I reached the base, I was coming in for a landing when somebody lit me up. That was that.

Point being that MAN . . . was I DIZZY!!!!!

I still feel like I'm spinning, and it's been about an hour.

I don't think I merit a Purple Heart. But how about a Purple Barf Bag, to keep in the cockpit?

I like to fly lying down on the edge of the bed with my left side hanging off the edge

this has caused me shoulder pains n back pains

not to mention, that in sever fights with players like Yuki, I have ended up on the floor on numerous occasions by losing balance

Ryan why do u hold the kindle over ur head, keep it in front of u much easier. And I have been in a dogdight for over 15 min didnt get in a dogfight for an hour but thats about it.

well i have been having eyesite problems every now and then since i started dogfight.
my neck hurts also everyonce and a while too
ive dropped the ipad like 3 times already

i have many injuries playing dogfight.
the problem is i can only play when standing up and iam very animated
walk around alot bumping it things.
i have fallen over the coffee table which put a nasty gash in my leg but i carried ]
on until the game was finished i lost
only the other day my wife was calling me she was in the garden i was indoors so still playing
i wondered out into the garden and fell out of the patio doors this time the phone went flying
onto the lawn luckly just missing the fish pond,i only twisted my ankle that time.
there are many more i could go on and on.
so i have scars playing this game BUT THE PAIN IS WORTH IT I LOVE IT see you all in the skies

Why cant you play sitting down?

I usually play while sitting and never have problems. I have gotten up to perform tasks such as changing laundry, getting/opening a beer, dealing with the microwave, dishwashing, and others. The only time I have difficulties is when smoking a fig and drinking a beer at the same time. I have still managed to shoot down the enemy in all these situations.

I just play better when iam moving about
I do get funny looks from people when iam twisting and turning the phone in front of me
specially when I put in a 360 I find that iam actually doing it as well

lol, i assume that means a barrel roll ends in you turning, not actually doing a barrel roll, right? that could explain the injuries.

When I have to evade or do a roll everyone just stares at me.

I somehow got him in the end. I had to hit him several times. It was exhausting.

Yes, it would be easier to hold my Kindle in front of me. This is how it begins. But gradually it winds up over head or twisted to one side as I move with the banks and dives and climbs of the airplane. I play sitting down, though. I stood up one and I almost fell over when I lost my balance during a climbing, banking turn.

One other thing: during my fight with Montebon, I was in the Camel. Or perhaps the Fokker. But I think it was the Camel. It was definitely one of the "starter" planes. I have read several times that success comes down to the pilot, not the airplane. Up to now I've doubted this. But I'm still waiting to get my other planes back so I've been flying the Camel and the Fokker, and with a decent measure of success. So I have been educated in this regard. While some of the airplanes are faster, more maneuverable, and better armored, any of them can be deadly. So new pilots ought not use their airplane (or lack thereof) as an excuse as to why they're getting killed or not scoring any kills. It's called practice. With practice come experience. With experience comes skill.

your still waiting? when i said the planes should come back over time, i meant 2 or 3 games, not 2 or 3 days! try deleting and reinstalling again? idk, they should be back by now. the upgrade button on the front page is gone?

No, the upgrade button is still there. But when I press it, it takes me to the app store, I click upgrade, it says buy for $4.99, I click it, and it says You Already Own This Item. Then I click Ok. It takes me back to the game, but nothing has changed. The Upgrade button is still there. I press Multiplayer, go into the hangar, all the planes are there, but only the first one for each side says Select at bottom right. The other all say Upgrade. When I press Upgrade, same thing as above happens. Then I select the Camel or the Fokker, watch the stupid ad for 20 seconds, and I'm in the game. I sent Zuperman a pm. Nothing yet.

Thats strange. If the buttons still there, you dont have the upgrade.

I havent heard of this problem before, but the kindle is a very new additon to Dogfight. Pming Z is all ive got left, and youve done that. Sorry, Im outa ideas.

I uninstalled and reinstalled twice today. So far, no luck.

I used to always play standing up, now I sit or stand.

Joystick is so frustrating, I mainly fly around like a butterfly and don't hit anything but I'm also hard to hit. There are some advantages, you can do some wicked fast direction changes. So I got frustrated and went back to motion controller for a game.
