So we had a severe storm hit us around 6pm last night that took out the power and is still out. Find out that the straight line wind caused most of the damage. Trees are down every where and debris all over major and side roads. Our area of Brookhaven has been declared in a state of emergency and now utility and tree trucks are around every corner. I took my wife to work just to find the power out, b8g surprise but they sent her to a sister office. 3 1/2 hours later I made it home and still have to return at the end of the day to pick her up. Traffic is backed up at all the intersections which now have become four way stops as we have no traffic signals.

So what did you all do this morning?

Roflmao. I been reading this forum for well over a year and only just realised that was there

So there is a new poll to determine whether PC users should play on seperate servers from other platforms. If it goes the way of seperation, I will be leaving Dogfight. I'm not that good and I don't believe that I have an advantage over non PC users. I'm fed up with the whining and complaining from people about it.

Perhaps I'm getting ahead of myself, but some of the comments piss me off. If it isn't one thing it's another around here...

So I have gotten used to pc players and don't care either way. On another note we have some news that the power may be off through the weekend. Cleaned out ice box and fridge, about 150 bucks spoiled, and headed to the in laws until we have power.

Back to the pc thing, I just leave a game I don't like, as for droppers, drop that subject. When I pay for the game I play how I want and wouldn't want someone telling me I should play it the way they like, simple.

Droppers make it fun for me to anticipate the moves and formulate my strategy, one and only flaw to the system is the laggyness fellas and the rest is just personality clashes. To separate anyone will separate squads and friends as we have pc users in this squad, stop bitch in man it gets old. Just saying the obvious and not trying to offend anyone.

I hear you Brother! Nothing but complaining these days. I wouldn't put too much stock in it. Can't see all the expense for different servers, can't or won't fix the current issues, let alone go to all that trouble. That would be a lot more work and expense than it sounds. Like you said, I don't know if the advantage comes from a PC so much as it does someone's reflex times. Just something else to cause drama over.

It's just something else for people to complain about comet just like all the complaints about droppers, you kinda get tired of it after a while. In my opinion the pc players didn't screw this game up it was working fine for a long time until a few updates ago. The extra graphics everyone is asking for is what screwed it up.

No drama guys zup has the poll out and if it's voted to separate he's going to do so. He started it because of the bitching of others about pc players.

I'm completely against separate servers for pc players, and why are people constantly complaining about dropping it's been around since day one of dogfight? fix the lag I don't care about anything else not the graphics or droppers, campers, spawn killing,magical water or trees. Just fix the lag so we can actually play a game but all anyone can think about is damn droppers and pc players.

We have pc players in our squad I hope you make the right decision when you put your votes in.

Sorry guys. It's been a stressful month for me and if it seems to some that I've developed an edge or been an ass lately (read the blacklist thread) that's why.

I have been trying to renew my mortgage with a different lender than the one I have. I wasn't aware that my property taxes were behind until I went to the town office to get a tax statement...bomb number 1.

Then I get a registered letter from the post office. It's from my insurance company saying that the last payment didn't go through and my insurance will be cancelled unless I come up with x amount of dollars due yesterday...bomb number 2.

Question: what do you need to renew your mortgage? That's right, your taxes paid up and house insurance...sheesh!

So needless to say I've been running around trying to get all this stuff straightened around. The house insurance company accepted the payment. Went into the town office and worked out some payment arrangements.

But...due to my wife's mentality that she can fix this stuff before I find out...always blows up...and I find out right around the time that it's almost too late to fix...love her to death but where she gets this notion from is beyond me... but I like to bury my head in the sand too I guess. Missed payments screw your credit rating...so interest rate gets higher...

But all is good now. Just spoke with my current lender. Paperwork is all good. I don't have to live in my car for the summer. Yay!

So again I apologize for my gruffness, my attitude, my manners; I haven't been myself lately. I'm sorry guys.

I'm gonna celebrate with a stiff Rye and Coke when I get home from work.

Brother we all get that way! You're not alone. Been a tough year for me too, just gotta shake your head and look for the light. One thing I have learned, is that since I joined this Squad, I have this amazing group that is right there to support me.

When I got sick earlier this year and went back through reading all the posts, gotta be honest, I got ready teary eyed! Hulk texting back and forth with my Daughter, all the well wishes from everyone. One really stuck out, this kinda crazy Canadian fella was trying to change his name to Skyripper's Comet!

That truly sucks Brother! Been down that road a couple times. Price of living in the middle nowhere.
In 2008 the remnants of Hurricane Ike ripped through here, Wind was unlike anything I ever saw. Lost 3 trees in our yard, power was out for 8 days. Couple years ago, an EF3 hit near here and tore out a bunch of transformers, 4 days without power. Own a generator after that one! Never know how much you appreciate something you never see until it's gone. Hope they get you hooked back up soon!
