Not sure how this exactly works, especially since he has more kills, more hangers, less deaths, and way more wins, but I have surpassed sir boaz! Another week and I'll be MORAF!

Im sTill stuck up here in Gods country Oregon USA..... I think its the country God forgot  reminds me of a show.... Deliverance. ..

Really, its full of very friendly folks, I have spent too much time in Cali I have forgotten the good in people. The thank yous and pleases, friendly nod and wave from a stranger. I remeber these things as the Norman Rockwell part of my life that I had taken for granted at the time and now appreciate and miss very much....

A quick example:

Im up here in the place that time seems to have passed on by to dismantle and load mill equipment purchased last week in an auction....
its been some years since ive accually been out in the field to perform the task of dismantle knowing I would be remantaling (I know its not a word), piont is im rusty and about 20years older and didnt bring with me and the crew all the consumables that would be necessary to complete the job.....
I realised this morning shortly after squeesin the triger on the mig torch I didnt bring anymore tips and suddenly realised I was in the middle of no where in a town that although do have a McDs, havent cought up with the Starbucks like coffees Every other McDs ive ever been too does... Ik.... weird... but true.... How ever the Polaris dealer Uhaul dealer also has a drive thru that servers a very taste white mocha..... agian weird but true... I told my crew I would return shortly with tips for the welder..... they looked at me smiling.... as though they wwere waiting for my snide remarks about the town being so in the middle of nowhere and what I had exspressed more then a few times earlier this week as a one horse town that should just pack up and disappear for as much good as it was to be here.... in middle of no where....
I said realky ill be right back..... the town is only a hundred yards long..... anyway...

To my utter amasement there was accually a welding shop supply in the back of the Convenience/post office/scales, so I grabbed my mocha and jumped in my truck .... passing it twice thinking it was an aabandon building.... I made my way around the building to the back and walked in the door to a friendly "Good morrning my friend what can I do for you".... this guy pulled it off, I accually believed he felt it was a good morning. I replied good morning back and walked up to the counter and taking a glance around the room takinging it the surroundings and before I sat on the stool I felt sure I was screwed for getting badly needed tips.....

I half heartedly told him my dellema and finished with doesnt look like im going to find what I would need anywhere close by..... he asked again what brand size and such that I felt he was being nice buttbut wasnt going to help.... I went to stand up and he said come around back maybe he had something thqt would work, I insisted it was ok I didnt see anything 5hat would work in his small sales floor.... he was friendly and told me it would only take a second and may pay off.... I reluctantly made my way around the counter to humor the guy knowing I was in trouble and would be looking at a 200 mile drive thru the mountains to get what I needed.

After about 20 minutes of no success th3 gentalman apologized and then offored me one of his peronal welders to use until something worked out on getting tips..... I almost laughed, out of utter shock a knee jurk reaction to his unexspected kind offer. I turned around to thank him for the gesture and explain it wasnt nessassary, and there he was pulling out a welder that was in very good shape and ready for use... I asked what the rental would be thinkingnthis is better then the drive and time lost tracking down $2 parts I had forgotten. His answer was, after a short chuckle, I dont rent my tools, your welcome to use it as longnas you need it....

I have been to this town twice in my life and the first visit was a week ago guys!!!! I this gentalman didnt know me from Adam (a biblical charature who couldnt say know to naked women).... google it. He insisted and was not taking no from me as he past by and right out the door stopping in th the back of my truck...... I stood there in his tiny back room welding shop stunded and confused by this persons kindness and willingness to help me out, again someone he had never met.
he had to ask me twice to help him load it to jult me out of my stupper!
I begain to explain where I was working, what I was doing in his town and stumbling over every word still in shock of good fotune and this mans trust in a person he didnt know.
he told me he had a good idea that i was at the ol mill taking out equipment, he asked if I was a scrapper, in my state of discombobulation I didnt realize his question and aske him to repeate it. He asked if I was tearing out the equipment to skrap it. I told him no sir, im taking it to our mill back home to install it for use..... as he closed my tailgate he smiled and said thats good to hear it will be use for what it is made.....
he stuck out his hand and introduce himself, told me if there Was any problem with the welder to call him.
I just stood there, dumb founded as hell..... as he walked back in his post office/store....

Upon returning to my crew I pulled up and asked them to please unload the welder very very carefully. then tried my very best to explain what had just happened.... thank God 5hey looked just as dumb as I no doubtibly looked when it Was happening.
I took on the job of welding so that 5he machine wouldnt befall and damages. It worked beuatifully and we worked the rest the day with the good mans welder.

If that wasnt enough, around 4 a mail jeep pulled up to me, honked and the kind man held out his open hand to give me 7 tips for my welder that I had been lookingnto getnfrom him earlier this morning.....

I apologize to the town of John Day Oregon, I cant put into words my thanks to you good people. Not for the use of a welder, I thank you for reminding me what life is really about. It is the kind gestures the smile and a wave from a stranger, a helping hand to another humanbeing that is so very important and needed today.... I believe you people were not the place God forgot, but the place we should work to remember.

Joe, the gentalmen at the store, didnt find the tips i needed at his shop, he drove 200 miles in the mountain so that could continue my work. And charged me $1.89 each..... he didnt make a dime helping me, I begged him to let me at the very least pay the fuel cost..... he wouldnt.

I bumped into him and his lovely wife at the hardware store this evening and was able to convince his wife to let me take them to dinner..... thank God, I was felling pretty horible....

Rap, just when you think this world has gone to hell in a hand basket...This series of GOOD EVENTS HAPPENS and suddenly it all makes sense again. That was an AWSOME story, just goes to show you there is still GOOD PEOPLE, KIND PEOPLE in this world, I am not a religious man, I am a catholic though (nobody is perfect), this guy didn't know you from ADAM , that man whore you refrenced to...LOL!!! But a total stranger went all out of his way to help you, my personal belief is that he saw such a GOOD HEARTED FELLOW, DOWN TO EARTH, HONEST, AND GENUINELY A GOOD SOUL OF A PERSON (YOU) and he saw that!! IT WAS AS CLEAR AS A BELL TO HIM, that's why he did what he did to help a brother out, I HAVE ONE QUESTION RAP......DID YOU AT LEAST ASK HIM IF HE WANTED TO JOIN THE MISFITS, YOU COULD HAVE TOLD HIM " I KNOW A GROUP OF PEOPLE WHO ARE LIKE YOU" ;)
By the way, any squatch sightings in them there sticks???

Having flown the mighty A6-E Intruder in the great Northwest, I am very familiar with the John Day river valley... Excellent for low-level flying just before entering the Boardman Restricted area and Bombing complex, just west of Umatilla and south of the Columbia river. Thanks for the flashback, Rap.

I just wanted to stop by and say a big thank you to all you guys who have given your support these past days, it's greatly appreciated. You'd be surprised at how it lifts my spirits and spurs me on when I'm thinking 'fuck, I'll just give it up'. Thanks, all of you, for being there for MOM.

The very first squad tag I came across when I started playing just over 2 years ago was MOM, and like bh said it wouldn't be the same without that MOM tag flying around in game.
Of course you will have those days where you are asking yourself wtf am I doing here? Trust me it's never easy running a squad it takes a lot of work but in the end it's all worth it. So don't even think about giving up you are doing a fantastic job. ;)

Brother Raptor, I love reading your posts! Gotta agree with Pete, this does restore your faith that good people still exist. Pete gonna send you a PM, got something to share with you that I think you might enjoy! Brother Barf, so, so jealous!! A Canyon run in an Intruder would be so awesome. Since I was a little kid, I wanted to fly Jets! Thanks again for this great story Sir Raptor!

Rap, about 16 years ago we were working on an aluminum plant somewhere east of Rooster Poot, Tennessee. Thursday was going home day and as usual folks were ready to get gone. Somehow i was the last one out of the parking lot that day. About 15 miles out of town my old truck blew the alternator.
Rolled over to the side and stopped on the highway in front of this little old house. I got out, raised the hood, heard somebody ask if i was having trouble. Guy from the house had been sitting on his front porch when i stopped. Well, with hood up you could see the alternator had gone up and i says, looks like i need a new alternator, could you give me a ride to town?
He says nope i cant do that.
For just a heartbeat i was trying to figure how far i was about to walk when the guy says,
I'll give you my car and you can go.
Turns out he only had a license to drive to and from work cause he was a drinker.
Ok i'll drive then. Nope he says i got to stay here and get ready for work!
It was a brand new looking 1999 mustang GT.
Well off i went, got the alternator, brought him his car back, with full tank of gas and a 6 pack of beer. Fixed the truck and went on home.
That sunday night i got called to another job, never went back over that way.

Was just on the Hall of Fame thread, kinda bummed me out a bit, someone wanted to nominate good old Pluribus for the Hall of Shame, on the grounds of ( his words) " being an idiot and sandbagger. Zebra stuck up for him, and I politely stuck up for him too. I know some of you guys like him as well, if you get a chance, slide over and put in a good word for him. I'd appreciate it. Know Plur would too
Thanks!

Pete, not sure what will happen as you came up...empty :woohoo: AHAHAHAHA

Only able to fly two missions tonight, lagging out of the first one  and found myself in the second one with Ted :silly: It was a good mission until the reds started dropping out  Good game with that brother and EAGLE of GI.

I have no problem in flying and dying, which I did quite admirably

I agree on the Pluribus issue... I love that brother, why?, I don't know. He has been around as long as I can remember, so I know how well he can fight B)

On a side note, my son had his audition for Chronicles of Narnia. He didn't get the role he was hoping for, but did get the role of the Centaur :cheer: . He is a much as a Centaur as I am a MORAF...not quite there, but one in the making ;)

MISFIT STRONG. MISFITS UNITED. MISFITS ARE LIKE A TIMEX...TAKE A LICKING AND KEEP ON TICKING

NOTHING is the worst possible thing that could happen if Hulk , Davy, TR etc get pissed off with the state of the game and decide to leave. Because that is what this game will become NOTHING!!!
May the ancestors look down upon your achievements and smile.

Ugh! Do not want to go to work. This is Friday right? Looooooong week. Hit the Ice yesterday, feel like I got ran over by a Bus. You sure it's not Saturday? Oh good, now it's snowing. I think it is Saturday, I'm going back to bed!

I'm not leaving just yet, I am just waiting on the next update. I have seen some bad ones in the past. As long as I have thumbs and eyes, I shall terrorize the skies.

Davy says, I'm not leaving, at least not yet, I will wait to see what the next update is, it may even take the update after that to fix the game, I'm just not sure of the intention of ZUPERMAN. Will he change the direction the game is going, I sure hope so. The fun factor is gone and I only get hangers games 90% of the time. IM SICK OF FRIGGING HANGER GAMES, DO YOU HEAR ME, I SAID DO YOU HEAR ME. UGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGG

however in better news this is double Friday

Each morning I check the forum thread to see the posts of the dawn patrol which I always look forward to reading.

I know that the latest update has hampered the spirits of many as the game has turned into a never-ending shooter style game. I like you have chosen to sit out as the game is no longer fun.

I feel like all the skill that we all obtained which defined each of us in game has been thrown to the side as this skill has been negated with 3 second secondary kills from your kill.

I wish I had better words of encouragement, instead of my disappointment with the current state of the game. I just don't want to act like it hasn't affected me.

My only hope is that zup is able to discern from all the feedback left on the forum and via email before there is a mass exodus.
