Hey it's Monday! Time for "Skyripper's tales of the Monday" today is a special edition, you get to see something rare. ME! Thought I would share this with all of you, since I always think about him this time of year. This is a photo of My late Uncle Doug and I standing on the deck of the USS New Jersey in.... Whew...1968. Between us is one of the 16" shells. This was taken during the commissioning ceremony prior to it's departure to Viet Nam. To give you a perspective, Uncle Doug was 6' tall. I was slightly taller than a grasshopper. I remember trying to step on his toes (little game we played) and he was getting mad. Years later I understood it was because he had to have his boots shiny! Sadly, after 2 trips to Nam, he would come home on leave in 1972 and was taken from us by a car accident. I was always so proud to brag about my Uncle who was on a Battleship.

I saw Mac post about putting [ ] around his M as a cool gesture to the Misfits. I was so inspired I went ahead and did the same. It is in no way a hint at anything other then a show of camaraderie for fellow players!

You guys have always been a great group to cut-up and fly with. Just was trying to give you all a bit of a "nood" or like a "salute".

When I graduated from 2 weeks bootcamp I felt like a different person I felt like a new me but more better and more disciplined. Im glad I went through bootcamp with the new people I met and I felt like ive known them for a while. Im glad to call them my brothers and there is more to come for me. HOOYAH!
