As a sidenote to our brother Bullet, Barry Sanders may have had the foot work, but he wasn't the absolute package that Emmett was. Sure he quit too soon, but that's what made Emmett the better player. He could juke you, throw a stiff arm, or just run you over. Barry never possessed that kind of power.

Emmitt Smith will give you five yards EVERY time he touches the ball

Barry Sanders will lose yards on EVERY five carries before he makes an exciting play

Both are different style runners... (straight ahead vs side-to-side), but no, neither is better than Walter Payton...who is behind Gale Sayers...who is behind Jim Brown.

No argument here Statzy! they were all the best at what they did.. but you have to admit it would have been interesting to see what Barry could have done if he did keep playing the game.

And, yes, I know the offensive line counts for a lot. I agree, T, but he quit the game, not retire, and we will never know.
